Shrimp and Vegetables With Pasta, Capers

Specialist chefs and home chefs find creative uses for leftovers. Their recipes are often excellent. I got some leftover spaghetti on hand and some icy shrimp that was starting to develop freezer burn up. A thrifty person, We couldn't discard these materials, and chosen to incorporate them in an original formula.

When I looked in the vegetable drawer of my refrigerator I found a red pepper, a tiny zucchini, and a yellowish onion--foods that go well together. When I inspected the pantry shelves I came across some rosemary bread twigs imported from Italy. Konstruera da! I had the makings of an outstanding meal.

I are in the Midwest and fresh seafood, other than Walleye and trout, is hard to get. Supposedly fresh seafood is displayed in store cases, but this seafood can be frozen seafood which was thawed. Eating seafood which was frozen, partially thawed or thawed, and re-frozen can put you at risk for food poisoning.

Years ago I got a breaded fish patty sandwich (frozen fillet) and developed Scombroid Fish Poisoning. Much to my surprise, gigantic hives appeared in the body. One beehive covered an entire leg. I've never forgotten this experience and am careful about keeping frozen seafood totally frozen. Basically buy frozen fish I ask the staff person if it is really fresh, or defrosted fish.

Since this menu contains lots of fruit and vegetables, I didn't bother to fix a salad. In the event you want to complete the meal with greens, go ahead and do it. Don't expect a thick sauce with this recipe. Instead, the teigwaren and shrimp are distinctive flavored with a thin spices made with butter, wine beverages, and garlic.

Choose a dry white wine that will compliment the menu ingredients, not overpower them. My husband and My spouse and i loved this recipe and I think you will enjoy it too. Mainly because it's winter in Mn, I warmed the nudeln bowls before I offered dinner. Serve this menu with bread sticks, crusty bread, or garlic bread toasted.
